Antennas behaviour
Outdoor Antennas:
1 Beverage on ground was used pointed to South Europe/Middle East.
It was placed away from our radio room, approximately 30 meters, and with 50 Ohms coaxial cable to the SDR receivers.
With this, the antenna could be moved away from any nearby generated noise in our radio room.
We did the same with the antennas from the Brazilian sponsor DS Antenas.
The antenas were: DS-SWL-L – a longwire for portable receivers to be connected to the telescopic whip.
DS-SWL-MB – another longwire, but with balun. Very good results with this antenna, thanks to its good signal to noise radio.
DS-SWL-FD – T2FD antenna. Very low noise antenna, with good results too.
Cross Country Wireless Loop Antenna Amplifier – good for portable operations
Indoor or Mobile Antennas: COMPACtenna SW and Loop DZ (By Denis Zoqbi)
FM antenna: A 5-element yagui was used.

Our shack
The radio room was configured with two and the SDRs of our sponsors, which we exchanged at each hour  (SDRplay RSP1, SDRplay RSP2, RTL-SDR V3 and Elad FDM-S2).
We also used the following radios: CCrane Skywave SSB and Radiwow R-108

Crew Team

Ivan Dias: started to listen to shortwave in 1993, when a lot of international stations were still transmitting in Portuguese.
In the following years he started to listen to utility and FM stations. During the last years he started to explore the medium wave band.
After 26 years, he confirmed 125 countries and supported some DXing clubs, including the now defunct Worldwide Utility News Club
and a DXer’s group from his city, known as Regional DX. He is a founding member of the Crew 15.61radio Listeners
His DXing activities are shared on YouTube, Instagram and Wordpress.

Martin Butera: is an Amateur Radio operator with more than 29 years of experience, and has participated in DXpeditions throughout South America, under the Argentine radio callsign LU9EFO and Brazilian callsign PT2ZDX. He is one of the British DX Club (United Kingdom) collaborators and founder of the Brazilian CREW Radio Listeners’, known as 15 point 61 (15.61). Martin is Argentinian, born in the city of Buenos Aires capital. He currently lives in Brasília DF, capital of Brazil. He is also a journalist, documentary maker and founding member of Radio Atomika 106.1 MHz (Buenos Aires, Argentina).

Introduzione
Dalla creazione del Gruppo 15.61 Radio Listeners nel Settembre del 2019

abbiamo cercato di presentarci nel modo più professionale e di trattare il nostrohobby preferito

Ci rendiamo conto che abitualmente i Dx camp sono principalmente organizzati per fare radioascolto, per testare ricevitori e tecniche di ascolto e sistemi di ricezione con nuove antenne.

Noi invece desideriamo cambiare il modo di organizzare i Dx camp in una occasione di aggregazione per scambiare esperienze ed idee deipartecipanti, un modo forse più "pazzo" ma certamente più informale senza perdere naturalmente i risultati pratici.... lo stile dei Dx camp organizzati per molti anni in Danimarca dal Danish Short Wave Club International (DSWCI) ormai inattivo purtroppo.

Stiamo per entrare nella terza decade del secolo XXI e cerchiamo di cambiare la nostra attitudine di ascoltare passivamente le voci dal mondo che entrano nei nostri ricevitori, sovente in modo quasi passivo.

Con queste premesse, abbiamo organizzato il nostro primo Dx camp nella foresta Amazzonica. Proprio quest’anno più di 80.000 incendi sono stati segnalati nella zona della regione Amazzonica creando molte apprensioni in tutto il mondo per i danni provocati alle foreste fluviali danneggiandole ed alla biodiversità messa in pericolo.

Molti gruppi si preoccupano degli attacchi portati dalle autorità locali supportate dal Governo Brasiliano, del Presidente Bolsonaro ed alle mancate azioni intraprese per difendere la preziosa natura della biodiversità dalle attività estrattive e lo sfruttamento attuato in modo irresponsabile, distruggendo ettari di foreste per impiantare coltivazioni di soia e per aumentare gli allevamenti di bestiame in aree protette.
Noi desideriamo essere presenti per monitorare anche questi problemi reali.

Vi invitiamo a leggere questo rapporto come un messaggio a tutte le coscienze del nostro pianeta, troverete anche la prima parte degli ascolti realizzati durate il Dx camp, ed inoltre anche le referenze culturali e storiche della zona scelta per svolgere la nostra attività hobbistica, in vista di organizzare il prossimo secondo Dx camp nel corso del 2020 per approfondire le tematiche trattate.
