Il ritorno del pennant. Oggi mi è arrivata la conferma di World Music Radio 5840 kHz da Bramming, Danimarca, con 100 watt. Sorpresa: oltre alla QSL full data, una lettera e 3 adesivi, nella busta c'era anche un pennant di stoffa!

Era un bel po' che non ne vedevo più uno con le conferme. Complimenti e grazie a Stig Hartvig Nielsen, patron di WMR e di Radio 208

La giornata del 29 maggio 2020 è stata davvero ottima per gli appassionati dell VHF, sia radioamatori che radioascoltatori. Aperture E sporadiche per tutti. Dai 6 metri fino ai 144 MHz, passando per le bande broadcasting OIRT e FM. Così anche chi, come me, non ha la possibilità di dedicarsi all'FM DXing da 88 a 108 MHz perché vive in una zona piena di radio FM, ha potuto divertirsi sulla banda dell'FM dei Paesi dell'Est, l'OIRT. Anche con una piccola antenna discone della Diamond, la D150.
Il ricevitore è un SDRPlay RSPdx. Ecco il mio log, effettuato tra le 15.30 e le 1630 UTC a Bocca di Magra, in Liguria con il mio computer remoto.

Quando l'ES è corta e ti sorprende: Lombardia, Romagna e Veneto in Sardegna - E altri DX in FM

La stagione E-Sporadico FM 2020 sembra iniziata nel migliore dei modi (ricordo che abbiamo avuto anche una breve apertura il 26 marzo) con dei numeri per quanto mi riguarda simili a quelli dello scorso anno.

Ho avuto modo in passato di discutere in privato con alcuni dxer del fatto che a lungo andare, intendo ovviamente dopo parecchi anni, tropo ed E-sporadico richiedono stimoli nuovi per poter raggiungere nuovi traguardi. Taluni ricercano nuove esperienze spostandosi in altre località, dove poter fare ascolti ed altri invece puntano tutto nel migliorare il proprio impianto di ricezione.

Negli ultimi anni nel mio caso, pur essendo ad esempio quantitativamente dei log molto interessanti con oltre 1100 emittenti a log nel 2019, le novità veramente importanti sono mancate, al punto che lo scorso anno, dopo tanti anni di FMdx (18, quindi dovrei quindi essere FM-maggiorenne) , serpeggiava un me un calo di entusiasmo e monotonia nel ricevere spesso le solite emittenti e le solite distanze.

L’Esporadico del 20 maggio 2020 è arrivato in un periodo preceduto da alcuni giorni di forti aperture, una delle classiche situazioni dove la MUF si mantiene alta e persiste sulla banda dei 6 metri anche in tarda sera, per poi risalire nuovamente la mattina seguente ed interessare nuovamente anche l’appassionato di fmdx.

In particolare arrivavano diverse emittenti dalla Germania. L’apertura era comunque probabilmente già attiva da ore, altri dxer dall’Italia ricevevano già centinaia emittenti.

Essendo impegnato ho pensato poco prima delle ore 12.00 italiane di registrare ogni tanto la banda con l’Elad FDM-S2 e verificando saltuariamente la situazione con gli altri ricevitori. Ho notato da subito la presenza di numerose emittenti dalla Germania.



Proprio in uno di questi momenti “live” mentre sintonizzavo i segnali sfruttando il Sony xdr-f1hd con l’ormai mitico software XDR-GTK ho notato alle 12.25 locali sui 92.10 MHz un segnale di Rai Radio 1 che non doveva esserci. Trasmettevano il GR, il giornale radio regionale. Stava ormai terminando ed ecco la frase “Abbiamo trasmesso TGR giornale radio dell’Emilia-Romagna”. E con l’annuncio svanisce bruscamente anche il segnale.
Ci sono due postazioni possibili con quella frequenza: la prima è da Modigliana-Costa (RAI) a circa 600 km di distanza dal mio QTH, la seconda più ad est vicino alla Liguria è da Albareto / Passo Cento Croci (RAI=Borgo Val di Taro) con una distanza di circa 570 km.

In quel momento purtroppo, non avevo registrazioni sdr in corso, le avevo bloccate per vari motivi ma confidavo nella porzione di banda che avevo registrato circa 15 minuti prima.

Dal riascolto di queste e da altre ricezioni dal vivo è saltato fuori qualcosa di sorprendente: Romagna, Veneto e Lombardia in ES

Alcune con PI code, altre come Radio Number One con chiaramente l’id, altre come Discoradio con pubblicità locale.

In passato ricordo di aver fatto qualche ricezione di emittenti italiane dal trentino, ma si trattava giusto di uno o due segnali di grandi network.

Senza considerare poi il record ancora con skip veramente corto della "misteriosa" RAI Emilia Romagna. Ma già basta pensare a Valcava (Lombardia) che arrivava via E-Sporadico in Sardegna. Finalmente una sorpresa con la S maiuscola.

Per quanto riguarda il resto da segnalare la ricezione di SRF2 Kultur dalla Svizzera, e diverse emittenti da Belgio, Olanda e Danimarca. Interessanti poi le varie emittenti tedesche che solitamente non arrivano così a lungo.

In conclusione, l’ES quando meno te l’aspetti è capace di sorprenderti, regalando sempre qualcosa di insolito, nuovo ed inaspettato. Per questo motivo è sempre affascinante non solo ascoltare, ma anche indagare sulle dinamiche e su tutti gli aspetti legati a questa forma di propagazione senza mai dare nulla per scontato.

FM DXing: first 2020 ES log by Franco Martelli in Tuscany

Ciao a tutti, ecco il mio primo log E sporadico FM della stagione; una buona apertura, grazie alla segnalazione fatta da Fabrizio Carnevalini. Segnali piuttosto volatili, ma che arrivavano a tratti con buona intensità, non tanto da sostituirsi ai segnali semilocali ma comunque abbastanza da farsi sentire nei canali liberi o quasi liberi. Mi mangio le mani per aver fatto un video della ricezione di Emisora dos Beiras (sicuramente il miglior dx della giornata per quanto mi riguarda) ma di averlo perso: non riesco a capire cosa diavolo abbia fatto col telefono. Bene anche gli ascolti dal Marocco, paese per me in genere abbastanza ostico.
